About the role:
The People & Culture Generalist is responsible for performing HR duties, working closely with and supporting management and employees. As a generalist, this position is knowledgeable in all HR functional areas, such as benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, HR policy, recruitment and legal compliance. This is a people based role – and our customers are BCD M&E employees - regular interpersonal interactions requiring emotional intelligence are the backbone of the role.
The HR knowledge and experience for the position is considered mid-level in scope. This role will be integral to the Business Partner function of our People & Culture team, providing a positive employee experience to the deeply valued team members at BCD M&E.
The People & Culture Generalist supports:
- Employee relations by working closely with HRBP team to support solutioning complex interpersonal and personnel situations.
- Employee engagement by interfacing with employees across the organization via day to day support and managing the HR inbox, including leading onboarding and offboarding touch points. The P&C Generalist will also engage with employee appreciation, recognition, and learning and development programming including opportunities to guide communication and learning initiatives.
- Compliance and Leave of Absence programs by providing caring support to employees through the Leave of Absence process as well as supervising debarment exercises for compliance onboarding.
- Utilizing HR systems by leading access and general use inquiries for employees while also acting as a reporting and maintenance guru.
- The Payroll, Benefits & HR policy space by acting as frontline support for troubleshooting day to day employee needs related to payroll, time off, benefits questions, and HR policy interpretation.
You’re good at:
- Connecting with people effectively – with intention, transparency, and kindness.
- Approaching every day with an open mind. This role will not follow a rinse/repeat format.
- Utilizing HR software programs and the ability to think analytically about data and reporting.
- Juggling a calendar that shifts and a priority list that evolves every day. You have 2+ years' experience.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Any experience with SuccessFactors, UKG, WorkDay Peakon and SharePoint is a plus.
You might also have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
- An HR certification.

- Our standard working hours are 8:30 AM -5:30 PM with an hour break.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of People & Culture Generalist is between $60,000 - $70,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
