Job Purpose and Impact

The Payroll Specialist will perform moderately complex human resource services spanning payroll including Taxation and state and local compliance. In this role, you will ensure efficient payroll tax delivery and administration.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work under established guidelines to create standards and procedures to handle employee questions and transactions and administer payroll programs.
  • Coordinate services with the human resource information systems.
  • Support management of the organization's human resources.
  • With guidance, analyze and modify compensation and payroll tax policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Contribute to analyzing statistical data and reports to identify and determine recommendations to improve organization's Payroll Tax policies and practices.
  • Continue to build knowledge of the organization, processes and stakeholders.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Experience managing Payroll Tax with multiple States and companies
  • Experience with SAP Payroll and/or ADP GlobalView
  • Experience with ADP Payroll Tax Services

Position Information

  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
  • This position is open to remote within US.

The expected salary for this position is $68k- $77k. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience.
