We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Payroll Specialist with UKG Dimensions and Excel expertise to join our Finance Team.
In this role, you'll make sure all Laners are paid accurately and on timeāso a knack for numbers, a love of process, and a sharp eye for detail are a must. As Payroll Specialist, you will:
- Process payroll accurately and on time for 600+ salaried and hourly employees.
- Review timesheets, compute wages, and reconcile pay (including overtime and other types) with accuracy and compliance, through collaboration with managers and People Operations.
- Post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.).
- Analyze and respond to inquiries from employees regarding paycheck amounts, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and other concerns.
- Research and gather required documents to set up required tax accounts in new states where the company operates.Ā
- Research payroll tax payments and data discrepancies with federal, state and local agencies, and work with tax agencies as well as internal staff for resolution.
- Work with the payroll system to ensure that the company is in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, establishing state tax, unemployment tax and local city/territory accounts as necessary.Ā
- Monitor and complete tax filings as necessary.
- Pull various payroll reports from HRIS system.
- Prepare and input payroll journal entries as needed and complete any related analysis.
- Assist with balancing of payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Assist Controller with various ad hoc reporting projects and requests.
Youāll thrive in this role if you have:
- Bachelorās Degree in Accounting or related fieldĀ
- 3+ years experience processing payroll
- UKG Dimensions experience
- Strong knowledge of multi-state tax and wage laws
- Solid Excel skills and proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
