What this job can offer you
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Payroll Country expert (or Regional), joining ourĀ Payroll Risk and Compliance team.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in regional/global payroll operations, including a deep understanding of wage tax laws and social security regulations in at least one country. Proven track record in identifying payroll compliance risks and implementing controls.
What you bring
- Strong legislation expertise in said country/region
- Extensive experience in a senior payroll role within an in-house payroll environment processing payroll or being in an payroll audit, compliance role.
- Understands the approach taken by local authorities and has proven track record of communicating with authorities to resolve matters.
- Has had exposure to local authority investigations and audits
- Experience in making recommendations for process improvements and ensuring that they are implemented
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks
- Proficiency in data manipulation (eg sql, Excel)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
- You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
- Writes and speaks fluent English as well as the local language being ā¦
