Position: Payroll Manager
Equal Education Partners is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation while adhering to all government regulations and company policies. You will also be instrumental in improving payroll processes and practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for our temporary workers
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for our internal staff
- Managing international payments
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
- Oversee the maintenance of payroll records and reports for audit purposes
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate data on employee remuneration and deductions
- Process payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Implement improvements in payroll systems and procedures, ensuring streamlined processes
Location:
South Wales (Offices in Swansea, Cardiff, and Llandeilo), with consideration for fully remote working for exceptional candidates.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance
- Proven experience working with BrightPay and Xero.
- Payroll certification (e.g., CIPP, APA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in payroll and accounting software (preferably Xero or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
