About the role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll and HR Compliance specialist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting directly to the Director of People & Culture, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with payroll and HR regulations. Your responsibilities will include processing payroll, managing employee benefit administration, overseeing HR compliance initiatives, and providing guidance and support to employees on related matters. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of US federal and state employment laws, as well as certified experience in payroll processing and HR compliance. You will also be a skilled communicator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.   Why this job is exciting
  • Primary point person for employee questions, concerns, and guidance on global payroll, leave management, global benefits administration, HR audits, workers' compensation, and policy management.
  • Assist in creation, regular review and update of payroll and HR policies and procedures to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing and benefits program administration, for US and UK-based employees including:
    • Conduct internal audits to identify and address any potential compliance issues.
    • Coordinate with payroll providers to prepare and submit all required reports to government agencies, such as tax authorities and labor departments
    • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll and HR laws and regulations, and provide guidance to employees on how these changes affect them.
    • Work closely with legal counsel to ensure that all payroll and HR practices are compliant with the law.
  • Work with local Employer of Record (EOR or PEO) for any contract local hire payroll processing and benefit administration
