We are seeking an experienced, hard-working and highly motivated Payroll and Time Tracking Administrator to join our Accounting team. You will report to the Payroll Manager and assist the team in full cycle payroll processing for over 1200 employees. You will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in a multi-state environment.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure payroll payments and taxes are processed and paid correctly and on time

  • Create a solid partnership with ADP to ensure all periodic and quarterly files are100% accurate

  • Set up and request tax ID’s for new state or local jurisdictions in ADP and state websites

  • Ensure Workday Quarter End File Integrations are processed correctly in ADP Smart Compliance

  • Verify the accuracy of employee data changes for new hires, rehires, terminations, status changes, rate changes, leave of absences, and other payroll inputs from our HR partners

  • Process and reconcile all payroll data (EIB’s) imports and exports to payroll system

  • Accurately calculate and pay terminations based on state laws and company policy

  • Own strong working knowledge of federal, California, and other state, FICA, and local tax withholdings laws and regulations, including experience with pay practices for multiple states

  • Conduct audits as required during the bi-weekly payroll process

  • Create off cycle payments for RSU’s and NQ Stock transactions

  • Coordinate the setup of garnishments with ADP and ensure the accuracy of the deductions

  • Assist internal and external auditors with payroll-related audit questions

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

  • Participate in system testing for Workday semi-annual upgrades

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of related payroll experience

  • Workday payroll experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of payroll work experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • FPC or CPP certified by the American Payroll Association

  • Experience using Workday HR, Payroll and Time, and ADP Smart Compliance

  • Intermediate excel skills

  • Detailed knowledge of payroll fundamentals and federal and state pay rules and regulations

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, adhering to strict deadlines

  • Detailed knowledge of benefits and their impact to pay, including 401k, HSA, FSA, DP

  • Excellent project management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
