Payroll Analyst II - US and International

What this Job Entails:
The Payroll Analyst II will oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role works collaboratively and with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise, in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. The person in this role will need to be comfortable communicating with employees via email, IM, and phone to address any payroll queries. The incumbent must maintain the highest level of confidentiality on all information payroll manages.
Scope:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Works on problems of moderate scope
Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform daily payroll department operations for biweekly payroll
Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Interpret pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.)
Work closely with payroll manager to reconcile and audit payroll prior to transmission
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Ensure accurate taxation and garnishment is applied to each account
Process terminations
Process manual check
Communicate with HR teams to make necessary changes/updates in system
Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies, reporting to management as needed
Develop ad hoc reporting, as needed
Participate in end-of-month closing and audits
Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
Perform audits of workers’ compensation, tax filings and related documentation, as needed
Respond to employee and manager payroll queries
Document payroll processes and procedures
Assist as a backup for other payroll team member, as needed
Work closely with the rest of the finance team on special projects, as needed

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Builds productive internal and external working relationships
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations for US as well as international countries
Excel and spreadsheet experience
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Must be detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with ADP products, especially ADP Celergo
- Experience working with Deel
- Experience working with Workday
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Salary Range
$57,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD (Salary)- Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.

Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
