Position Summary

• Responsible for coordinating payroll activities and payroll related general ledgers for all SIH entities including developing, implementing and monitoring

accounting systems for financial reporting.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field

• Technical Experience: 3 years payroll experience

Role Specific Responsibilities

o Collaborates with management, auditors, and others to answer questions

and articulate variances regarding all aspects of the financial statements as

it relates to payroll.

o Provides a leadership role within the Accounting Department in

developing, implementing, and maintaining the operational and procedural

aspects of the department.

o Processes approved and documented invoices and payment requests.

o Maintains accurate, easy to follow, electronic procedures for each

responsibility.

o Prepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting

documentation.

o Analyzes payroll related balance sheet accounts and prepares account

reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation and

understands the relationships which exist.

o Collaborates with Human Resources to develop and communicate pay

practices and improve processes.

o Ensures time records are processed for payment in accordance with pay

policies/practices.

o Reconciles bi-weekly payroll reports.

o Files payroll related reporting timely and accurately, including but not

limited to taxes, deductions, 941’s, W-2’s and ICT.

o Develops, implements and monitors payroll systems to ensure accurate

and timely processing of payroll, including but not limited to API and

MHC Software.

o Demonstrates ownership of work and interest in operational aspects of

SIH.

o Develops new processes, disciplines and guidelines to ensure

standardization of best practices.

o Takes external information and turns it into effective internal plans and

actions. Interprets knowledge to anticipate opportunities and needs.

o Insures compliance with standards. Defines and monitors processes to

foster results.

o Establishes and develops disciplines, sign off points and best practices to

maximize results.

o Develops positive, cooperative relationships across functional boundaries.

Strives to work with peers, partners, and others to positively impact

business performance.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$56,472.00 - $87,526.40
