Payor Contract Analyst

As our Payor Contract Analyst, you will help create opportunities for improved revenue generation for our clients by modeling their payor contracts in R1’s proprietary contract modeling tool, Pricing Service. Every day you will develop expertise in hospital reimbursement structures and analyze the results of your models to ensure accuracy. To thrive in this role, you must have experience with quantitative or analytical work. Data analytics and prior SQL query writing experience is preferred. Prior experience in hospital billing or revenue cycle is a plus but not required.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Payor Contract Analyst:
Review and interpret payor contracts to identify all relevant information influencing reimbursement rates and terms
Model contracts and execute pricing in R1's proprietary software
Trend and analyze model results to validate and verify reimbursement terms have been configured correctly using SQL queries
Maintain strong lines of communication with pricing consumer teams, responding to feedback and requests for system maintenance
Partner with our Product team to improve the contract modeling tool through your feedback
Required Skills:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; post-secondary education in STEM preferred
Exceptional analytical skills as developed and demonstrated in academic or professional setting
Ability to use Excel and Power BI to analyze large data sets; SQL query writing experience preferred but not required
Detail-oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment with internal stakeholders
