Insurity’s next Payment Staff Accountant

Our Payment Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling all aspects of payment processing, involving the performance of multiple functions related to ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.

What You’ll Do

  • Post payments, refunds, voids, return payments, service fees, and reissue items
  • Import payments, NSF, accounts receivables, and vendor reports
  • Produce and distribute payment and commission reports and files
  • Respond to emails and accounting team tickets; working directly with clients
  • A/R- Cash Receipts, Service Fees
  • Assist with reconciling activity and accounts
  • Ensure overall accuracy and timeliness in fund movement and reporting
  • Support improving accounting processes through simplification and automation
  • Partner with external partners, functional teams, and projects as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and standard methodologies, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Basic Accounting knowledge preferred
  • Experience with SAGE & Excel a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization
  • Maintain confidentiality
