At Midi, the Patient Service Representative acts as a liaison between patients, the practice and the healthcare system.The Patient Service Representative ensures that patients receive the care they need; provides support for new patient registration; assists them in navigating the healthcare system; and bridges other communications gaps. The Patient Service Representative also helps resolve billing issues, addresses patient complaints. The Patient Service Representative is responsible for being the face of Midi to the patient, and is often the first experience patients have with Midi!Ā

- Serves as the first point of contact for patientsĀ
- Assists patients with: verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Facilitates intake procedures such as completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for servicesĀ
- Gains confidence from the patient through competent job performance and effective communication
- Adheres to all organizational, local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering the optimal patient experience
- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with conflicting priorities
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ensure the privacy of each patientās Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
Work Hours: Our current need has a Start Time: 8AM PST (11PM EST) - 4:30PM PST (7:30PM EST) + 30 minute unpaid lunchĀ
What you will need to succeed: š±
- 2+ years providing an excellent customer service experience - remote experience a huge plus!Ā
- 2 years of Zendesk experience (preferred)
- 2 years of Athenahealth EMR experience (preferred)
- 2 years of Google Workplace experienceĀ
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong, reliable internet and quiet, distraction-free workplace
- Compensation is $20/hr, non-exemptĀ
- A full-time opportunity, 40-hour work-week
