Our Parts/BOM Specialists work across our strand-based business (SBB) division. They take the reins when it comes to improving the divisional bills of material, parts standardization, and managing critical and shared spares in support of World-Class Maintenance standards. We’re looking for an experienced Parts/BOM Specialist for our SBB Division. Our SBB Division has operations in High Prairie and Slave Lake, Alberta and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • An industrial mechanical or electrical trades certification or post-secondary education in supply chain, or a related field, is an asset.
  • Procurement or SCMP designation or working towards.
  • Industrial mechanical and/or electrical trades experience.
  • Planner experience, is an asset.
  • Parts experience requiredheavy industrial parts experience preferred.
  • OSB/Lumber manufacturing and industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Supply chain/procurement experience desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-focused approach.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your bill of materials experience to standardize the Bill of MaterialsJDE item masteritem branchnoun modifier dictionary, and dictionary attributes for all three mills in the SBB division.
  • Use your collaborative skills, and work closely with the departments to gather required data to improve the divisional bills of materialpart standardizationcritical and shared spares in support of World Class Maintenance standards.
  • Travel to all three mills and meetings elsewhere in the region and will physically handle divisional inventory items to bring the quality level of parts description to the level set out by Company standards, as required.
