Position Summary/Job Duties:

Adult individuals ages 22-24 with normal hearing are needed to participate in listening experiments for research studies. The tasks include a hearing screening, listening to sounds at a comfortable level and selecting a computer response button after each sound is heard, and participatng in EEG and MRI.

Participants must be 22 to 24 years of age, have normal hearing, speak English as first language, and be able to provide their social security number in order to receive compensation for participation.

Compensation rate is $12/hour and $65 for the MRI. Total amount for completing the full study is typically $120. The time commitment for this study is 7-7.5 hours split across two or three visits to our lab at the UW Waisman Center. We are currently scheduling sessions for November 2024.

Qualifications:

Ages 22-24
No history of hearing loss and no recent ear infections
English is first language
