Description

 We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced part-time Bookkeeper to join our team remotely. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record financial transactions in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly.
  • Invoicing and Payments: Generate and send invoices, track receivables, and ensure timely payments from clients.
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor bills and manage payments to suppliers, ensuring all are paid on time.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, including receipts and reimbursements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the company’s budget and report variances to management.
  • Tax Preparation Support: Assist in gathering and organizing documents for tax filing, working closely with accountants or tax preparers.
  • Payroll Assistance: Help with payroll processing or coordinate with payroll providers to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Data Entry and Accuracy: Enter financial data quickly and accurately, ensuring error-free records.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Under this arrangement, the employee is provided with an annual opt out payment.
