Your Impact

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven OSP Broadband Planner/Engineer to support the design, construction, and maintenance of broadband infrastructure. This role involves collecting and analyzing complex data, managing project creation and equipment ordering, and collaborating across engineering, construction, and field teams. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of fiber optic networks, advanced Excel and system proficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze complex data sets to support fiber optic network design, construction, and maintenance
• Build and maintain dashboards for real-time project and network insights
• Create broadband projects, manage equipment orders, and coordinate material logistics
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and field teams to align project goals
• Monitor project statuses in systems like M6 and ensure accurate data across platforms
• Assist with project pricing, cost estimates, and pre-sales support
• Track project milestones from start to finish, addressing delays or issues
• Apply OSP engineering knowledge and use tools like Site Tracker and design software
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, ordering, or delivery issues with creative solutions
• Manage multiple projects within a defined geographic area

CORE EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience in broadband/telecom/OSP engineering or planning
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, macros)
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project tracking tools
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent work capability

This position is remote; the candidate lives near: Illinois – (Along the I-57 Interstate, near Bloomington, Champaign, Effingham or Mt Vernon)

Pay Range - $38.00-$40.00 hourly/DOE
