Lead a remote, diverse, and inclusive team of Ultrasound Order Management Specialists located in both India and the United States. This leadership position is a key position that will partner with horizontal team members, such as controllership, cash, revenue, fulfillment, manufacturing, and commercial leaders to compliantly maximize orders, sales, and cash. This critical role will help define and lead the strategic plan to ensure we are positioned well to support the anticipated growth in coming years by ensuring processes are sound, documented and delivering timely and quality outputs. Additionally, this person will be responsible for activities and processes that help the organization achieve business objectives and by contributing to key initiatives not only within Order Operations, but also within upstream and downstream spaces where we count heavily on cross functional inputs and deliver outputs.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
  • Direct responsibility for a Team of Order Management Specialists, located within the United States and India; Ensure compliant progression of orders from order entry to transfer/revenue recognition, while supporting accurate invoicing to customers
  • Develop a culture that embraces a diversity and inclusiveness across team members, leadership team, field teams and other functions 
  • Build on existing Leadership Standard Work around operational Key Performance Indicators to ensure order quality and team efficiency. Use operational metrics, including Takt Time and andons/alerts to drive daily work and actions with the team as well as create a shared vision and drive process improvement, supported with regular Genba walks ensuring standard work and escalation paths are being followed.
  • Leverage Takt Time to analyze Customer Demand on key processes and allocate resources appropriately to level load and meet demand; Defining and implementing surge strategies to meet agreed upon Service Level Agreements for order operational tasks.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on order management policies and procedures; Partnering with controllership, contracting, and pricing to ensure quotes and orders are compliant with contractual terms and conditions, controllership guidelines, and marketing promotions 
  • Actively participate in organization tool and manpower resource management planning.
  • Coach team members and provide performance management to a team of order management specialists including periodic 1:1 touch points and end of year summary touch points.
  • Collaborate with peers across other Order Management Segment teams to execute multi-business deals and cross P&L improvement initiatives. 
  • Lead training for new and current Order Management team members, both locally and remote, and help maintain and update standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with our Order Operations Lean Leader to drive lean operations by ensuring standard work is being followed through regular Genba walks, while applying lean methodologies (5 Why’s, Fishbone Analysis, etc.) and problem solving assessments when tracing causes to an observable problems and variations.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers within a compliant fashion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Mgt or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in an operational execution role (team supervisor, commercial operations, etc.) 
  • Ability to lead & set direction for a remote team including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and problem solve. 
  • Ability to flex schedule (including weekends) during peak periods (quarter close)
  • Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking to solve problems.
  • A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills and can act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Ability to explain complex information; Influencing skills with a proven track record to bring team members to consensus around topics.
  • Ability to convey performance expectations in a clear and motivating way, and at times will handle sensitive issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of GEHC order operations processes and requirements 
  • Previous direct or indirect management experience
  • Working knowledge of GEHC eOM and MyOrders applications  
  • Prior experience in a sales related industry or transactional environment 
  • Proven track record building inclusive, diverse and collaborative teams
  • Experience working successfully within a highly regulated team/industry
  • Experience with ERP applications 
  • Knowledge of GEHC commercial operations processes and systems 
  • Excellent strategic & tactical execution skill sets 
  • Ability to drive change and continuous improvement 
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $89,760.00-$134,640.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
