Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented OPIR Technical Program Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to be responsible for managing program risks and opportunities and communicating those to the Government and Parsons leadership as appropriate.

What You'll Be Doing:

The OPIR Technical Program Manager has the authority to make decisions and commit resources on behalf of Parsons in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments, as well as be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual, programmatic, budgetary, and resource limitations issues. The OPIR Technical Program Manager maintains constant communication with the Government and Parsons leadership on program status and delivers within the program schedule and budget. The OPIR Technical Program Manager owns the overall program schedule, and IMS if applicable, with major milestones, activities, events, deliveries, integration points, and relevant mission partner and external schedule data. The OPIR Technical Program Manager is responsible for new program capture support, strategy development, budgets, staffing plans, staff qualifications/training, and measurement of progress, including associated reports and forecasts.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related technical/business field or additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

  • A minimum of ten years of experience working on DoD projects supporting operations, information, and/or engineering.

  • A minimum of 15 years of recent experience in OPIR development programs familiar with the development lifecycle of OPIR programs, as well as the various producers and consumers of OPIR data.

  • A minimum of 10 years of recent experience managing Space or Missile Defense programs/projects.  

  • Experience with program startup and establishing initial program management baseline including org, schedule, and budget.

  • A minimum of three years of recent experience running an agile program and/or leading an agile team.

  • An active certification in at least one of the following

  • A Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.

  • -PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • -PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification

  • -DAWIA Level III certified in Program Management
