The Global Privacy Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the global data protection and privacy program (“Privacy Program”) for CSG, which applies both internally and to CSG’s customers and vendors.  Under the direction of the head of the Privacy Program, this role will ensure CSG maintains a robust Privacy Program in compliance with CSG Policy, contractual commitments, applicable law and market standards.

The role holds general responsibility for managing the daily operations of the Privacy Program and collaborating with CSG’s Legal, Compliance, Security and other functional stakeholders to continuously improve the Privacy Program.

We are looking for an Operations Manager, Global Privacy who will:

  • Manage CSG’s daily global data privacy operations, including:
    • Continuously Improve Privacy Program: based upon review of market standards, company risk appetite and applicable law.
    • Manage Vendor Privacy Matters: lead privacy approval process related to new vendors and ongoing vendor management.
    • Respond to Requests for Proposals/Questionnaires: responsible for responding to questionnaires related to data privacy from existing or prospective customers.
    • Maintain Processing Records: research, gather and document processing details to support privacy related agreements (i.e., DPAs and BAAs), processing records and data flow diagrams.
    • Conduct Data Privacy Assessments: research, gather and document data for data privacy impact assessments and other privacy related assessments.
    • Monitor Performance of Privacy Program and Quality Assurance Oversight:   liaise with relevant stakeholders to determine best practices and guidelines to capture conclusions and risks within the program.
    • Conduct Data Mapping: responsible for the use and maintenance of a company data mapping program which includes response to data subject requests.
    • Support Third Party Risk Management Program: administer risk assessment questionnaires to identify and evaluate privacy-related risks
  • Provide oversight of CSG Privacy Training
  • Act as business owner and provide operational support for the OneTrust and Securiti.ai privacy platforms; procure and maintain tools/technology for execution of the privacy program to enable privacy by design and default.
  • Provide first line support for internal and external inquiries, including managing privacy inboxes
  • Operationalize activities resulting from new and/or changing regulations. This includes implementing policies and practices at a global and local country level, partnering with Legal to ensure adequacy of company policies
  • Collaborate with Legal to identify privacy-related risks and address them through risk mitigation techniques (including privacy audits)
  • Foster a data protection culture within the organization and help to implement essential elements of privacy by design and by default
  • Occasional travel. This job requires travel up to 5%
  • Accountable for professional behavior to include building and maintaining constructive working relationships, communicating proactively and concisely, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s values
  • Understand and adhere to CSG corporate policies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 5-7 years’ global data protection/privacy or related compliance experience or privacy audit or privacy investigation experience combined with recognized data protection qualifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/M, or FIP.
  • 2-3 years’ experience developing and managing a global data protection program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience with global and U.S. privacy laws, including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR and the California Consumer Protection Act.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data privacy requirements relative to consumers, employees and credit card users in a multi-national environment.
  • Practical knowledge of privacy and security requirements, including ISO27001, FTC Act, CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, PCI, etc.
  • Familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment and best practices, privacy certifications/seals, and information security standards certifications
  • Experience or familiarity with the Binding Corporate Rules (BCR).
  • Strong skills in project management including scheduling, planning and prioritizing activities and initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and be pragmatic (be practical) and results focused
  • Adequate self-awareness and confidence to acknowledge knowledge gaps and seek to fill them from reliable sources.
  • Ability to use a personal computer.  Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in English in a business environment

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$86,433.83-$138,294.13

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
