Job Summary: The Assistant Property Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the property and performing key management tasks. These include coordinating leasing and marketing efforts, approving move-in files, promoting lease renewals, fostering resident relations, contributing to team development, and handling additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Property Supervisor.

Position Type: Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Locations: Gardena, CA
Discounted Unit: Studio
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly
Requirements
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and current tenants
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws related to tenant/landlord relations, including Fair Housing and Affordable Housing regulations, when applicable
- Oversee the timely completion of maintenance requests
- Show properties to prospective tenants and provide necessary information
- Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities
- Manage budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices
- Develop and distribute marketing materials to attract new tenants
- Keep resident files and records organized and up to date
- Ensure residents adhere to house rules and regulations
- Attend required training and meetings
- Report issues to the Property Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Other Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in real estate or a related field
- Reliable transportation required
- 80% of time spent driving
Travel Requirements:
Moderate travel is required for this position, with the expectation of working remotely 20% of the time. Travel requirements may change.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs. and wearing a face covering when interacting with the public or working closely with other staff. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
