Job Description
The New York office is seeking an On-Site Immigration Specialist to work in a dynamic setting alongside one of our clients at their headquarters in either New York City or Dallas, TX. This position follows a hybrid work model, with the individual working remotely two days a week and spending three days a week on-site at the client’s headquarters, either in the Financial District of NYC or their Dallas, TX office.
As an On-Site Business Immigration Specialist, you will:
Serve as immigration specialist/resource to client population on-site for all immigration matters.
Draft immigration assessments for potential visa options.
Manage case initiation process and fact gathering.
Schedule meetings with client(s) to provide overview of upcoming visa processes (NIV and IV/PR) and answers questions, as needed.
Follow up/meet with client to obtain outstanding documentation.
Facilitate completion of immigration case submissions by obtaining signatures, missing information, etc. from client.
Create, edit, print and distribute materials.
Ensure that client is compliant with posting and maintaining required documentation.
Prepare immigration-related correspondence (e.g. employment confirmation letters, invitation letters, travel packets, business introduction letters, etc.) for client, as needed.
General administrative duties as needed (i.e. faxing, copying, typing, etc.)
Maintain client contact information.
Prepare, update and manage status reports. Prepare custom reports. Build knowledge of Firm and client processes.
Routine case monitoring (i.e. USCIS, DOL, NVC, etc.).
Assist in preparing visa petitions.
Let’s talk if you have the following:
2+ years of professional work experience in immigration law
Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or Paralegal Certification
Extensive reporting, file and document management experience
Strong interest in the legal field, particularly immigration and global mobility and expanding knowledge and responsibilities in casework preparation
A client service mindset, attention to detail and desire to achieve a high level of productivity
Experience using various computer systems, including Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate case issues to supervisor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desire to contribute to positive work environment, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork
Compensation:
The salary range for this role takes into account many factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors noted.
A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
$68,000.00 - $86,000.00You may also be eligible to take advantage of our benefits offering, 401K, and paid time off plans.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of the Firm's pre-employment screening process. This includes verifying the candidate's identity, confirming legal authorization to work in the United States for the offered position, and conducting a comprehensive background check. In some cases, IT vetting and onsite onboarding may also be required prior to employment.
