On-Call Research Analyst - Nationwide Remote Office (US99)

Our Survey Research Practice is home to a talented community of survey researchers building robust solutions for government, university, and commercial clients. ICF survey products aim to demonstrate quality, credibility, reliability, innovation, responsiveness, and transparency. The Survey Research team works in close collaboration with global ICF experts conducting research across industries including Health (CDC, NIH) Education (DoE), Veteran’s Health (VA), Energy/Environment (EPA), Transportation (DoT), Public Health and Housing (HUD), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

ICF is currently seeking an On-Call Survey Research Assistant able to work up to 32 hours per week in our Survey Research Practice. This position is fully remote.

This position will primarily support the Higher Education Research & Development (HERD) Survey and other surveys of government organizations and nonprofits. The HERD Survey is an annual survey sponsored by the National Science Foundation and is the primary source of information on R&D expenditures at U.S. universities and colleges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and answering calls from study participants.

  • Assist with meeting tasks such as logistics, note taking, and material preparation.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on data, reports, and presentations.

  • Assist in developing and preparing training materials, written reports, or other deliverables.

  • Support of all web-based, mail, telephone, and other data collection activities

  • Support of other survey research activities, including data manipulation and cleaning, data analysis, and survey instrument testing.

  • Processing outgoing and incoming study documents.

  • Work with senior staff within the company and external clients.

  • Support proposal development activities as requested.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science (e.g., sociology, psychology, economics), mathematics, statistics, or finance with 2+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Customer experience in any type of environment (e.g., retail, service industry, medical office, human subject research).

  • Experience using MS Excel as a basic analysis tool (e.g., sorting and filtering data, applying formulas, using pivot tables).

  • Experience providing general project support, such as activity tracking, task coordination, and document formatting.

  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis preferred.

  • Fluency in Spanish or other language(s) is a plus.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$47,717.00 - $81,118.00
