On-Call Regulatory Specialist (Public Policy) and Technical Editor - Virginia Remote Office (VA99)

Do you want to apply your education and experience to help government agencies improve the way they develop and implement regulations, policies, and programs? Our Regulatory, Policy & Economics (RPE) line of business has over 30 years of experience supporting the design, implementation, and improvement of federal programs and is seeking an on-call policy analyst to join them. The on-call position is available immediately and will have variable weekly hours, typically involving approximately 5-15 hours per week.
This on-call position will join our multidisciplinary team of regulatory specialists, policy analysts, economists, and attorneys who combine research and analysis skills to solve unique public policy challenges through innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services. Our dynamic work environment involves working on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting a wide range of federal and state agency clients, and providing a wide range of support services.
Job Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates will employ strong research, policy analysis, and writing skills to contribute to rulemaking documents, stakeholder and public comment reports, policy papers, and technical background documents. Duties also will include technical writing and editing, as well as report production. This candidate will work within interdisciplinary teams supporting federal government clients who develop and implement regulatory programs affecting the environment, homeland security and immigration, transportation, workforce development, nutrition, and food/drug safety, and other national priorities.
