Position Description
The Offsite Superintendent will provide daily oversight to various projects & job sites throughout the Greater Sothern California area. This position will report to the Director of Construction & will be based out of the Santa Ana, CA office location. This position is responsible for general job site supervision including but not limited to schedule management, cost control, working with AHJ and regulatory entities, supervising job site personnel and subcontractors to complete the scope of work assigned verbal and written communication with client. Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned jobs timely and safely. Specific industry experience includes experience in civil construction, underground infrastructure, sewer water/storm drain, and private & public works.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct various job sites, keeping team members and/or clients updated throughout process as needed.
  • Provides suggestions and recommendations for improving processes, safety standards, team performance, etc.
  • Full understanding of a job or project scope of work (SOW).
  • Full understanding of method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform the assigned job/project. Ability to write a detailed MOP.
  • May assist Director in scheduling team members’ work and work hours for assigned staff.
  • May direct and plan the work of assigned team; determines proper project techniques for assigned team.
  • Maintains job records for use in managing or control.
  • Work with Project Manager, Director, or Construction Manager to determine materials, equipment, and tools to be used for assigned projects.
  • Reads, interprets, and builds according to design site plans and layouts.
  • Controls the flow and distribution of materials and supplies.
  • Manages, coordinates and adds project specific information in company databases as required.
  • Ensures safety and security of team and company assets.
  • Performs inspection of entire installs; troubleshoots problems with installs; assists Project Managers with closeout packages as needed.
  • Other closely related work may include physical tasks and other tasks such as timesheet and other recordkeeping, completing Job Safety Analysis.
  • Uses caution and experience, understands the hazards associated with climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.

Minimum Work Experience & Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Have two or more years’ experience in large high end residential backbone and in-track improvement construction.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all sites, infrastructure, structure and systems.
  • Have a strong desire to work in a fast paced, design heavy, collaborative environment executing complicated projects at a very high level.
  • Have strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Working Knowledge and competence of Excel and MS Office.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to speak clearly & professionally to communicate with clients & team members.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle to job sites.
  • Ability to walk on job sites that may be dirt, cement, asphalt, uneven concrete, or other.
  • Ability to read and interpret Civil, Utility, Landscape and Architectural drawings.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs; kneel, squat, bend, stop, twist at waist & neck.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range for position: $40/hr - $50/hr
