Position Summary
The Forensic Program Manager coordinates and manages the forensic nursing education and training program for the MultiCare Health System to improve the quality of care received by victims of violent crimes through direct and indirect patient care, professional and public education, development of standards and protocols, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research. The incumbent participates in long range planning, develops and maintains policies, creates/monitors budgets and grants, and ensures current best-practice and state guidelines are applied to all program activities.This position is funded by a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training grant.
Responsibilities
- Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational activities related to forensic nursing
- Functions as a role model of victim centered care and professionalism; ensures nurses are prepared for forensic nursing care using a high level of clinical expertise
- Develops and maintains appropriate organizational polices related to forensics
- Prepares and manages the forensics budget and grants in collaboration with the MultiCare Grant Department and HRSA
- Works collaboratively with state, local, and community stakeholders within the community to educate on forensics and violence prevention
- Participates in long range planning, goal setting, program development, and ongoing curriculum evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
- Current WA state registered nursing (RN) license required
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) required or must be completed within two years of hire
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – Pediatrics (SANE-P) required
- Emergency department experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $116,232.00 - $168,050.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.Associated benefit information can be viewed here.
