Nuke Compositor

This is a full-time staff position with benefits within our Los Angeles team. While local candidates are preferred, we are open to considering remote applications from within the U.S. who can work standard Pacific Time business hours.
The Compositor must possess an in-depth knowledge of compositing foundations from clean up to integrations involving live plates and CG elements, as well as skills with creative and design-driven compositing. The Compositor must have a blend of technical and creative skill on the box as well as an ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
What you’ll do
Take briefs and direction from Compositing Supervisors to execute assigned shots
Integrate 2D, 3D, and live action elements to a high standard
Work with clients in order to create their vision
Meet schedules and project deadlines
Maintain ongoing communication with production and leads regarding schedules and deadlines
Take responsibility for own workload, time management and notes/feedback actions required by Supervisors
Balance the creative and technical aspects of each shot
Requirements
An excellent working knowledge of Nuke
3-5 years of professional experience as a Nuke Compositor working on advertising or other short-form content
Familiar with multi-pass CG compositing, Deep Compositing, and working with AOVs
A solid reel showing a wide range of shots and a creative eye
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills
A pro-active and collaborative work ethic
A strong eye for detail, composition, color and lighting
The ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve
Proven ability in working with clients in order to create their vision
An understanding of color space principles
Familiar with Linux operating system
You might also have
Knowledge of practical lighting for photography
A working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline
Programming and coding experience and knowledge
Experience with Hiero, Shotgun, After effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and/or Flame is an advantage
California Employees Pay Range : $95,000 - $125,000 per year.
The posted range describes the minimum to maximum range for this job description in the state of California. The range is posted in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. The range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of California. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
