Job Description SummaryThe Northeast Region EHS Leader is responsible for leading and maintaining the Environmental, Health and Safety programs within the Northeast Sales and Service Region. In this role, you will be supporting the Senior EHS Region Managers strategy, managing EHS covering sales and service operations and our customer needs. The strongly preferred location for this role is within the central or eastern time zones. This role reports directly to the EHS Director, USCAN Services.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
  • Work across the region to lead EHS programs, including compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements and applicable GE requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Regions and peers to achieve specified objectives.

  • Engage and influence leadership support for EH&S and coach individuals to enable them to successfully execute their leadership responsibilities for EHS and maintain specified goals

  • Sustain a world class EHS program and safety culture

  • Ensure all necessary policies, procedures and practices are in place to assure compliance with regulatory and GE requirements

  • Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information

  • Manage key performance Indicators (KPI) for the Region and drive necessary efforts to achieve them

  • Assure good standing and action plans with GE’s Environmental Health & Safety Frameworks

  • Lead event investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions

  • Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance

  • Assure 100% completion of training, audits and other compliance aspects throughout the organization

  • Provide technical and compliance support to Field management and customers; assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices

  • Utilize Gensuite tools where applicable

  • Assure compliance with local laws, permits and regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, HMT, ANSI and IATA)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, or closely related discipline from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in successful EHS program implementation or completion of OMLP EHS Track.

Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.

  • Experience using Gensuite Software.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $101,600.00-$152,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
