Target Salary: $90-$115,000.00
Summary
The Field Engineer/Technical Advisor travels to customer sites to bring Voith value directly to the customer. OEM engineering, VHEC, global supply and knowledge base are all tools that will drive customer value. Lead Voith crews to execute Voith HyService outages and/or technical advise customer or 3rd party crews to contribute to a successful, valuable outage. Support quoting and winning work at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Bring value-add solutions to the customer site.
- Support proposals on projects
- Voith Representative at site acting as Technical Advisor / Director
- Direct resp. for Safety, Quality, Schedule, cost/productivity of assigned projects
- Customer on site direct doorway into Voith value add – design, drawings, knowledge, fleet history etc.
- Lead Voith site labor, ie. labor supervisors report direct to TE at site
- On site project management with sub-contractors and crews on larger projects
- Write and follow Field Procedures as needed for work scope(s)
- Responsible for producing final reports.
- Grow customer relationships at the site level
- 24 x 7 availability/support
- Extensive Travel
- Billable – 75-80% assigned time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or College diploma with at least 4 years related experience.
- Minimum of two years in hydropower or supporting industry is required.
- Equivalent experience in large capital industrial projects would be considered
- Fully fluent in English with very good communication skills
- Microsoft office, strong aptitude in MS Excel
- Ability to make presentations and reports to upper management
- Ability to pass a physical medical exam, drug and alcohol test, respirator qualification test, and background check required by Voith customers
- Travel will be frequently required within the North America territory to visit Customer sites and follow up with suppliers with exposure to industrial environments.
