The IDEXX Livestock, Poultry, and Dairy division offers diagnostic tests and services to monitor the health of herd and flock animals worldwide. We partner with state, government, and private laboratories to provide producers (farmers) with results that protect human health, improve animal productivity, and ensure food quality.
In the North American Distribution Sales Manager role, you will:
- Establish and maintain Distribution Sales Partner relationships and contracts in order to gain adoption and increase usage of LPD ruminant products in the veterinary and producer beef/dairy segments through promotion and education.
- Be responsible for the Initial training of clients and distributor sales on products, including troubleshooting and customer service in conjunction with technical service.
- Manage the Channel product launch of exciting new product(s) both internally and externally to ensure consistency with contracts and implementation.
- Document sales administration details, including developing and maintaining account profiles via Salesforce.com.
- Attend trade shows and other educational commitments.
- Achieve and maintain technical knowledge of products and services.
- Present IDEXX values to customers in a professional manner; including understanding the businesses, customers, technology, operations, and processes.
- Achieve sales budgets on each IDEXX product line.
- Develop partnerships with clients and KOLs.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science or strong background in beef/dairy industries required, large animal advanced studies a plus.
- 8-10 years Field Sales experience required.
- Integrity, keeping commitments to employees, customers and the company.
- Able to demonstrate modeling and authentic support for IDEXX mission, values and principles.
- Solid organization skills.
- Ability to demonstrate strong sales and communication skills including presenting in front of groups of veterinarians and producers.
- Must be professionally mature, and able to adapt to independent and team-oriented environment.
- General business knowledge.
- Multi-tasking, creativity, technical aptitude, proven track record, computer skills, and knowledge of veterinary diagnostics preferred.
- Documented track record of success achieving sales goals and launching products.
- Computer database management.
- Travel up to 75% of the time; and valid driver’s license
Compensation and benefits:
- Annual base salary range is $112,000-125,000
- Lucrative quarterly commission structure.
