NORC Finance Internship 2025

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic financial team for a summer internship program. This position is designed for a rising senior pursuing a four-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate finance and contribute to meaningful projects that impact our organization's financial strategy.
This is a fulltime internship (40 hours per week) for a period of 9 weeks during the summer.
- Timing: The 2025 summer internship will begin Monday, June 9th and conclude on Friday, August 8th.
- Hours: Interns should be able to commit to NORC’s 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CDT business hours.
- Compensation: The hourly rate of pay is $22.
- Location: The 2025 Internship will take place virtually. You will be sent a NORC laptop.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 3rd at 5:00 p.m. CT for the 2025 Summer Internship program. RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
- Support the financial planning and analysis team in data collection and interpretation
- Help develop financial models and perform sensitivity analyses
- Participate in the creation of presentations for senior management
- Contribute to the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and capital expenditure projects
- Assist in the analysis of financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support the treasury team in cash flow management and forecasting
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather financial data and insights
Learning Opportunities:

- Rising senior status in a four-year degree program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.3
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation concepts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg or FactSet
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with VBA or other programming languages
