The Opportunity
As the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Subject Matter Expert (SME), youâll ensure all NDT activities on or near the HPC site meet technical compliance. You'll verify that requirements are correctly captured in procedures, technique sheets, and method statements while supporting and supervising your team in reviewing these documents.
Your role will focus on minimising risks from NDT activities, driving innovation in the supply chain, and ensuring the safest and most efficient testing methods. Youâll champion the introduction of advanced techniques like digital radiography, UT/PAUT, ECAT, and more selecting the safest and most effective approach for each application while reducing radiation exposure.
Youâll also shape NNBâs strategy and guidelines for NDT surveillance, leading reviews, sentencing outcomes, and responding to Requests for Information (RFI), Field Change Requests (FCR), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR). Your expertise will be key in delivering a high-quality, cost-effective NDT programme that meets safety and regulatory standards.
