- Attend all trainings and meetings, while completing required forms on time.- Must have I-9 documentation completed with Rec Well HR before any trainings or shifts.
- Obtain American Red Cross or the American Heart Association in CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
within first month of employment (Rec Well will work with you to obtain this certification)
- Understand and abide by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment.
- Keep up with any updates you are required to know via our Teams channel, completing all forms and
trainings on time. Read thoroughly and respond to emails/Teams messages in a timely manner.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Rec Well programs and facilities.
- Ability to explain membership details and process memberships, programs and services, and
merchandise/equipment transactions.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral, written, and administrative skills.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Access Control & Equipment Assistants (ACE's) are responsible for operating the Welcome Desk of
the Nicholas Recreation Center. Excellent communication, customer service, attitude and personable
skills are necessary. ACE's work shifts in durations of 2-5 hours and typically work 6-20 hours per week.
A minimum of 6hrs/week is required. Student employees are eligible to work more hours during the
summer semester, spring break, and winter break.
Main responsibilities include:
- Control Access to facilities by monitoring current members' entry and/or ensuring guests have proper
documentation
- Assist at Member Services Desk with equipment checkout, towel distribution, checking facility
schedules, and answering member questions
- Assist members with professional etiquette on the phone or in person about aspects of the facilities,
programs, and services

Physical Demands:
Must be able and willing to assist in emergency situations, which may require physical exertion
