OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Newsroom Writer for one of our clients. This is a contract role (40 hours / week) and is scheduled to be from May 1, 2025 - Feb 28, 2026 with the potential to extend or convert as this is a growing team. 

While this role is fully remote, you must reside in the US or Canada and be eligible to work W2 or T4 without sponsorship. 

This role is at the heart of our storytelling efforts, combining journalistic expertise with a passion for technology and innovation. You will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging, insightful, and impactful content that reflects the company brand voice and values while resonating with global audiences. From thought leadership pieces to industry trend analysis, you'll help bring the company story to life in a way that informs, inspires, and connects.

  RESPONSIBILITIES Content creation: Produce compelling news, analysis, and multimedia content that engages our audience and creates value for readers.
•    Trend reporting: Monitor, research, and report on emerging industry trends in technology, cybersecurity, and identity, positioning the company as a thought leader in the space.
•    Storytelling: Craft unique, human-centered stories on a wide range of topics about identity.
•    Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, PR, product teams, and other stakeholders to align content creation with business objectives and ensure consistency in messaging.
•    Editorial strategy: Contribute to the editorial calendar, pitching ideas and shaping content themes that align with company priorities.
    QUALIFICATIONS

•    7+ years of professional experience in reporting, writing, or content creation, preferably in the tech industry or a newsroom environment.
•    Strong understanding of the technology landscape; familiarity with cybersecurity, identity, or SaaS is a plus.
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen sense for audience-focused storytelling.
•    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering to brand guidelines.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines with ease.
•    Proficiency with digital content creation tools and analytics platforms is a bonus.
•    Basic news-style videography and video editing skills are a plus.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

  • Hourly Rate: $50-55/hr, based on experience.
  • Duration: May 2025 - Feb 2026
