WSU Global Campus is looking for a New Student Enrollment Coordinator who is passionate about teamwork, innovation, and crafting strategies to boost first-year & transfer enrollment for online and adult learners recently admitted to WSU Global Campus. This newly created position will be key in managing the orientation and onboarding process, ensuring clear and timely communication, and organizing virtual events to engage and welcome new students.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing student programming that fosters a sense of belonging, a creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate feedback across diverse teams. As the New Student Enrollment Coordinator, you will identify and address barriers to enrollment for newly admitted students, developing strategies to eliminate obstacles and improve the overall enrollment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement both short- and long-term strategies to support new student enrollment, ensuring alignment with the WSU Global Campus strategic plan.

  • Collaborate with various Global Campus units to ensure students have access to the Online Global Campus orientation and that all related communications are completed on time, in alignment with deadlines set by Enrollment Management leadership.

  • Foster effective collaboration with Global Campus units to build a strong new student enrollment pipeline that enhances enrollment and promotes a sense of belonging.

  • Reach out to new students facing challenges during the onboarding process and connect them with the appropriate resources to support their success.

  • Work closely with the Campus Director of Admissions to establish and track key metrics, ensuring enrollment targets and student satisfaction towards onboarding are met and providing regular updates to leadership on progress toward these goals.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime-eligible.

Monthly Salary: $4,062.50 - $4,875 monthly | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

  • Orientation/Onboarding Best Practices: Familiarity with best practices in student orientation and onboarding, particularly for online and adult learners.

  • Enrollment Management/Student Services/Orientation experience: Previous experience in student services, orientation programs, enrollment management, or a related area.

  • Cultural Competency: Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

  • Collaboration: Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with various university departments and stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Customer Service: A customer service orientation to provide personalized support to students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technology: Proficiency in using technology and software for virtual events, data tracking, and communication (e.g., Microsoft Office, learning management systems).

  • Online/Adult Learner Experience: Experience working with online or adult learners is highly beneficial.
