Summary
A Service Delivery Architect is responsible for the creation of technical multi-component solution designs. Service Delivery Architects partner with Manage Services, Professional Services, Sales, and Customers to identify and implement solutions that enable technical innovation and profitability. The Service Delivery Architect will lead through influence often engaging a project team or presales initiative helping to ensure technical and strategic success. Primary expertise is in the evaluation and creation of multiple solution design options meeting complex project requirements and constraints while ensuring standards are maintained with an emphasis on stability and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Authors Service Delivery Architecture documents that define the agreed solution, including service definitions, scope, interface design, impacted components, risks, and necessary trade-offs.
Provides expert knowledge of interface architectures, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to business, operations, and technology teams.
Reviews, comments, and approves deliverables created as part of the project delivery methodology.
Provides technical leadership to stakeholders to design the overall solution and resolve ongoing technical issues within the initiative.
Provides ongoing support and guidance to development teams with recommended training during the analysis, development, and testing processes.
Presents technical issues to technical governance boards and leadership for decision-making and communicate decisions to impacted teams.
Reviews designs for their ability to achieve business benefits within estimated cost restraints.
Negotiates scope and costs with vendor partners as applicable for their initiatives, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Collaborates with stakeholders to review and contribute to Managed Services Technology Roadmaps.
Creates and communicates suggested technical solutions, Managed Services impacts, and costs for customer, regional, and global initiatives.
Identifies organizational and financial impacts of solutions, working with leadership on necessary adjustments.
Engages in customer activities such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), high-level escalations, and Design for Partnership (DFP) recommendations and delegation.
Collaborates with vendor partners to integrate partner development activities within project timelines.
Mentors technical resources interested in growth or required for business initiatives.
Provides Business Partnership with various groups.
Establishes strong working relationships with Global, Managed Services, Professional Services, Sales, and Customers.
Establishes strong working relationships with the Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure alignment with best practices and standards.
Participates in and support cross-technology and cross-functional process improvement initiatives, contributing to organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Participates in Global Architecture/Engineering working groups, ensuring alignment of Managed Services with technology directions and organizational objectives.
Attends and/or provides recommendations for customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
