This position is designated as work-from-home.

Description:

• A senior software engineer must have senior level programmatic technical expertise based upon the platform service provided.
• Nascent technologies may have limited experience but must be heavily supported with training and education.
• Established technologies require a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience on top of applicable training.
• 7 years or more of relevant experience is required where the individual does not also substantiate evidence of relevant training.
• Develop and enhance web applications using .NET technologies, with a strong focus on .NET MVC (C# mostly), Entity Framework, Bootstrap, AJAX, SQL Server, and Git.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship high-quality software solutions. Work closely with client system owners and project managers that are federal government employees.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security in all development efforts.

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

• Proficiency in.NET MVC, Entity Framework, AJAX, SQL Server, and Git.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with ALM and DevOps tools (GitHub/GitLab, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Education & Experience:

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $87K – $125K.
