Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
The National Resin Dryer / Resin Handling technician ensures the efficient operation of PET resin drying systems to prepare high-quality material for the manufacturing of plastic products. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining drying equipment, ensuring correct moisture levels in the resin, and adhering to production and safety standards in all 14 injection facilities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide dryer and resin handling support for all 14 injection facilities.
- Creation and support of best-in-class documentation for all dryer types and resin handling equipment.
- Travel to all 14 plants to identify opportunities and best practices. Communicate findings across all plants.
- Facilitate monthly dryer calls to discuss opportunities, troubleshooting support and best practices.
- Schedule and execute routine support visits along with emergency support visits.
- Assist plants in major dryer work and planned maintenance best practices.
- Training of best practices and supporting the plants in training new dryer technicians.
- Assist in dryer safety training.
- Conduct dryer and resin handling audits for all plants and creation of action plans.
- Assist in the calibration of drying systems and support process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree In Operations, or related field.
- 2-5 years experience of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic resin drying or injection molding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
- Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge – preferably in the plastics industry
- Strong emphasis on quality of work.
- Highly Organized and can effectively multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy.
- Computer Program use - Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs as needed – able to create new documents and spreadsheets and edit existing documents and spreadsheets.
- Travel >50%

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $88,600 to $118,100; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $88,600 to $147,600 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.BenefitsWhen you join Amcor, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that includes:
