Responsible for the strategic oversight and tactical deployment of centralized event logistics resources for Breakthrough T1D Peer2Peer and Signature Events Fundraising Programs.

This role serves the evolving and growing needs of a complex, Development Operations department. Core responsibilities include:

  • In partnership with National departments (Marketing, Technology, and Peer 2 Peer program), manages the timeline and catalog of collateral items needed for our Peer 2 Peer Fundraising Programs (Walk, Ride, Endurance).
  • Responsible for centralizing event collateral in a way that makes it easy for Chapter staff to find what they need.
  • Manages the Fundraiser Rewards program for Peer 2 Peer Fundraising Programs (Walk, Ride, Endurance), inclusive of inventory management, ordering and production timeframes, and expense oversight.
  • Recommends improvements to increase efficiency in our processes while minimizing expenses through data management and review of Fundraiser trends within Fundraiser Rewards programs.
  • Manages the day-to-day needs of relationships with national external partners (i.e. Walk Production Partners, Ride trailer vendor) to provide pre-event and day of event support across Breakthrough T1D’s event portfolio with a focus on greatest impact to revenue generation.
  • Supports National Director Program Resources in contract negotiation and management.
  • Assists Chapters with finding local event production companies that can help meet the local event execution needs most effectively for Peer 2 Peer and Signature Events.
  • Provides budget management for the national resources related to event day collateral, bulk orders, fundraiser incentives, etc.
  • Completes special projects as assigned and partners with national departments as applicable.  

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ fundraising and event experience including with matrixed organization(s) in the disease space, preferably with a chapter-based, event heavy history.
  • Experience and knowledge of both Peer 2 Peer and Signature Event execution.
  • Self-starter while also being collaborative and an amazing team player!
  • Ability to work closely with teams and across functional areas; communicates proactively.
  • Effectively establish priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Highly efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated competency when handling diversified assignments.
  • Team player with the ability to interface with all levels of staff, volunteers and vendors.
  • Superior active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills.
  • Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative.
  • Significant computer literacy (MS Office and CRM systems).
  • College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approx. 15% of time). Occasional evening and weekend work required as needed.

Target Salary - $60k - $70k
