Job Summary:
We are seeking a National Director of Operations to join our team at Real. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Title Services. In this role, you will lead and manage the national title operation to ensure an exceptional closing experience for our customers. Our team includes escrow officers, title agents, and processors across multiple states. The ideal candidate will possess strong people management skills, with at least 3-5 years of experience leading teams, as well as cross-functional collaboration abilities to ensure successful closings and the growth of our title business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead a title team working across different facets of the value chain.
Manage quality control of the current title pipeline and resource planning.
Act as an intermediary with our underwriter(s).
Supervise special projects assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Search for, interview, and hire new title agents for current and new branches.
Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to team members.
Ensure compliance with our closing process and create a system of continuous checks and balances
Write and maintain playbooks and compliance manuals.
Ensure clean process flow and continued enhancement of operations.
Launch new states and branches across the United States.
Maintain SLAs with agent, brokerage, and lender partners.
Ensure client service level arrangements are met.
Provide expectations to the closing team and accountability for service.
Ensure timely delivery of closing tasks and documents across our branches.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication skills.
Open to feedback and a great listener.
Detail-oriented, a multi-tasker, highly motivated, and a strong team player.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college/university.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in an operations capacity or relevant experience.
Experience in the closing process as a manager, director, or owner.
Experience working in a high-performance environment (banking, consulting, startup).
Experience using back-office software is a plus.
