Overview
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for producing, developing, and delivering high-quality multimedia content to support department and organizational goals. This position supports the development and delivery of online and print content that aligns with industry standards. The Multimedia Designer demonstrates knowledge of accessibility requirements (e.g., WCAG) and implementation best practices in the area of assignment

Salary Range: 65K to 70K
Responsibilities
- Produce visually engaging content for various platforms in area of assignment (videos, animation, quizzes, tutorials, social media, websites, internal communications, and/or presentations)
- Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize and design multimedia content that meets organizational objectives
- Adapt content for multiple audiences, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness across diverse demographics
- Act as a multimedia consultant, advising departments on the best approaches for visual storytelling
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, external vendors, freelancers, and agencies to meet project demands
- Design and develop high-quality, complex concepts into visually engaging and understandable multimedia components
- Produce and integrate static and dynamic components for print and digital use in the assigned areas
- Create custom multi-media content tailored to specific assignment
- Optimize designs for the intended medium
- Organize and maintain a centralized digital library of multimedia assets, including graphics, videos, course components, quizzes, tutorials and photographs
- Implement backup solutions to safeguard digital assets from accidental loss or corruption
- Utilize various technologies and best practices to integrate accessible and functional multimedia content into assigned systems
- Deliver content that meets standards and institutional policies within assigned project deadlines
- Evaluate and select materials and resources
- Conduct multimedia component quality reviews
- Apply brand guidelines to ensure multimedia content reflects the organization’s values and aesthetic
- Attend meetings and events to gather information and content needed to complete project work
- Create and apply development efficiencies that result in quick turnaround of high-quality work
- Stay current with trends and best practices in multimedia design for area of assignment (marketing, communication, online learning, and/or healthcare education)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- HS Diploma or GED (required) and seven (7) years of experience in multimedia design and development - or -
- Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Photography, Communications, Cinematography
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in multimedia design and development (required)
- Minimum three (3) years of graphic design, text, audio, video, and animation creation (preferred)
- Strong intermediate understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout for creating educational graphics required
- Experience creating interactive elements such as quizzes, simulations, and interactive videos (preferred)
- Advanced expertise in multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, etc.) (required)
- Advanced knowledge of video production processes, from pre-production (storyboarding, scripting) to post-production (editing, sound mixing, and visual effects) (required)

- Marketing and Communications only - Experience with content management systems (CMS) and web development tools, and understanding of social media trends, best practices, and content optimization for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, etc.

Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
- This position is designated as remote. Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation.
- Travel Requirements
- Overnight travel (up to 40%)
