AFI is searching for an experienced, organized, and professional leader to serve as a Field Project Manager. AFI currently operates on a nationwide basis with the goal of achieving Owner satisfaction through an ever-growing ROI. In order to achieve this goal, we often choose to make substantial, large-scale improvements to certain physical aspects of the property.

This position comes with a base salary that is based upon experience ranging between $70,000-$100,000/year. Frequent travel to various properties across the country as many as 4-5 days/week is required.

The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by a member of the Capital Improvements Team:

JOB DUTIES

  • Oversee property maintenance/construction projects underway for compliance with contract specifications, code, and quality compliance.
  • Plan, prioritize, organize, and review the work of construction services engaged.
  • Review with local authorities to obtain the necessary permits and permissions for projects.
  • Participate in project planning/bid acquisition
  • Coordinate labor and material requirements for onsite projects as needed
  • Resolve onsite issues, build effective relationships with owners, contractors, and team members.
  • Inspect/approve all work prior to marking as “completed”
  • Hold all team members accountable to following established procedures
  • Various projects such as parking lot renovation, roof repairs, sign package construction, implementation of WiFi internet, various landscaping items, etc.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and coordinating completion of various projects in the most cost-effective manner while providing regular updates to both the Owner, and the AFI Team.
  • Carry out ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the performance of contractors, including close monitoring of budgets and expenditure, and ensure cost-effective use of funds.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional/Demonstrated ability to lead others

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, local zoning laws, and regulatory standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using construction management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Willing to accommodate travel requirement of ~+/- 75>#/li###
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Must provide list of 2-3 professional references

CERTIFICATIONS

· PMP must be earned within 90 days of starting this role.
