Job Description:
Provides technical leadership in the Medical Imaging department including the quality assurance program for multiple business units as assigned. The quality assurance program includes: QA/QC, continuing education, performance improvement and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on Minnesota Department of Health, Joint Commission, Mammography (MQSA), CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Works with Director of Medical Imaging, Medical Director, Manager, Supervisor and staff to develop and maintain a safe operation following department policies and procedures.
Principle Responsibilities
- Planning for Quality and Performance Improvement
- Assure efficient operation of department for patients, physicians and staff needs.
- Maintains working knowledge of Medical Imaging processes.
- Assures safe and effective operation of all equipment.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of current policies and procedures.
- Participates in hospital and corporate committees.
- Collects data through reports and auditing to give monthly and quarterly report on performance improvements and trending for the department.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory standards, including JCAHO, CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, ACR, MDH, MQSA and others
- Monitors changes in regulatory standards.
- Educates and implements changes as identified.
- Assure imaging departments are maintaining ACR accreditation.
- Coordinates Radiation Safety Program under the supervision of the Radiation Safety Officer.

Required Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- 5 to 7 years in Medical Imaging
Preferred Qualifications
- CRA Certified Radiology Administrator
- Bachelor's degree administration related
Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required certified and/or other technically related Medical Imaging certification upon hire and
- Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required certification NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine) or RDMS (Ultrasound) upon hire
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire
Physical Demands
- Medium Work*:

Pay Range
Pay Range: $40.37 to $55.85 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.Benefit Summary
