The General Library System Storage and Shelving Team performs a wide range of complex library services, including collection maintenance and management, which support the day-to-day operations to provide access to information resources in a variety of formats.Anticipated Start Date:

1Qualifications:
-Ability to communicate effectively with facility staff and other student workers-Ability to perform detailed work
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Preferred:
-Familiarity with library classification systems (e.g. Library of Congress, Dewey Decimal)
-Working knowledge of spreadsheet programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
-Experience using Integrated Library Systems (e.g. ALMA, Voyager) either in a job setting or as a patron
Position Summary/Job Duties:
-Working independently, retrieve, process, and scan requested items using library software
-Process and re-shelve returns and completed scanned items
-Perform stack maintenance such as straightening and dusting
-Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and other student workers to resolve issues and improve workflows
-Assist Shelving and Storage staff with other projects as assigned
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
