Our Sales Managers have the primary role of leading and coaching the sales team and direct line management of their Mortgage Experts, driving performance with a keen focus on efficiency and customer experience.

This role requires an ability to analyse and drive sales performance whilst motivating and developing the team to the most efficient and driven in the industry. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the business being involved in execution of sales targets, supporting internal initiatives with our sales management team and will lead by example as a reflection of our core values.

What will you be doing?

  • Coach and train to sales excellence, enable Mortgage Experts to be the best version of themselves and meet and exceed KPI’s
  • Enable sales improvements, and take responsibility for the department’s performance against targets
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and conversion, providing clear recommendations and refining processes to stay ahead of the market
  • Provide a robust First Line of Defense to ensure the quality of advice and practice is at the heart of everything we do for our customers
  • Be a leader of a high performance culture where engagement and fun are part of our Mortgage Expert’s role DNA
  • A strong analytical mindset is critical. Applicants should be eager to dive into performance reports, identify trends, and proactively use insights to improve conversion rates and team performance.
  • The position is highly collaborative, working closely with multiple key stakeholders to feed into roadmaps and provide expertise on the mortgage industry
  • Success in this role isn't just about hitting targets but about coaching a team to embrace innovation, adapt to evolving strategies, and remain agile in a changing market.

Requirements

Qualifications: CeMAP 1, 2 & 3

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership or managerial role
  • Minimum of 2 years regulated mortgage industry experience in an advisory or managerial role within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
  • Must also have a proven ability to lead a group of sales personnel towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation, while displaying exceptional leadership skills and confidence
  • Must have experience evaluating and analysing raw data, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches

Desirable:

    • In-depth mortgage and lender knowledge including criteria
    • Solid understanding of Mortgage and Insurance FCA regulation and proven application of it

Skills:

    • Must possess exceptional communication skills to ensure clarity of communication and motivating your team
    • Possess interpersonal skills that will encourage openness and trust, be self-motivated, be adaptable to business growth fluctuations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work well under the pressure of stringent deadlines
    • Demonstrate calmness under stressful situations and in uncertainty, inspiring the same in the team.
