Mortgage Fee Specialist- Remote

Location:

This is a fully remote position.

Shift schedule: Depending upon the business needs and break preferences - 8:30-5:00pm EST or 9:00-5:00pm EST. This team would consider someone wanting a later shift as well.

Priority given to candidates with Mortgage experience. Attention to detail is critical as we work in a fast paced environment.

ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

The main role of a Fee Specialist is to prepare and disclose revised Loan Estimates as necessary throughout the loan process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Review of daily reporting to determine loans that require re-disclosures.
• Compare, analyze and prepare and issue Loan Estimate documents while determining which fees can be changed in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
• Identify and escalate any errors and/or omissions for all disclosures.
• Monitor e-mail mailbox for requested change circumstances (COC) requests and create tasks as necessary from e-mail requests.
• Analyze fees for compliance with TRID calculation, tolerance rules and changed circumstance post closing.
• Perform the RESPA refund process.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years mortgage operations experience preferred:  processing, underwriting, and/or closing.
• Knowledge of current CFPB and RESPA requirements for Mortgage disclosures.
• Strong sense of personal accountability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge.
• Ability to interact with others in a positive manner, either in person or by phone.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to meet deadlines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $22 to $24 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
