California Market(remote)- Must sit in California and Be Licensed in California 

Salary: 67-78k + commission 

Sunflower Bank is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Branch Manager for the California Market. 

Individuals will be required to develop leads and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders, and respond to referrals from branch personnel and others. The Mortgage Branch Manager is responsible for managing the office and supervising all employees. The manager is responsible for directing and organizing employees as well as providing training. They are responsible for operations management and sales responsibilities. They report to the bank’s main office and coordinates with the other branches as well. Additionally, candidates should have an understanding of the mortgage regulations and processes as well as other bank products and services in order to deepen relationships with customers.

• Responsible for the day-to-day managing of mortgage lending.
• Responsible for the mortgage personnel, which includes directing activities, hiring, and training, scheduling and evaluating personnel.
• Directing all operational aspects including distribution, customer service, human resources, administration and sales in accordance with the bank’s objectives
• Developing forecasts, financial objectives and business plans.
• Responsible for underwriting, closing, processing, shipping functions and origination.
• Asses local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
• Meet goals and metrics.
• Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
• Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
• Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company.

Education / Experience Preferred:

• BS in Business Administration or related field. MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
• Creativity, flexibility, integrity, and a commitment to customer support are essential.
• Proven branch management experience, as a bank manager or similar role.
• Has advanced knowledge of mortgage lending principals and technologies, industry rules and regulations.
• Ability to meet sales targets and production goals.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, exercise independent judgment and comprehend complex instructions, technical and financial materials and forms related to assigned duties

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
