Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to develop and maintain high fidelity sensor simulation models for US Army and Air Force UAV/RPA (Unmanned Air Vehicle/Remotely Piloted Aircraft) trainer systems.
The software facilitates war fighters to train like they fight, since the sensor model products are designed to interoperate with tactical Ground Control Station software.
This role involves collaborative software development in an agile scrum environment using the C++ and C# programming languages.
The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and be a motivated independent learner. The candidate must be highly organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience or less than 2 years with MS degree.
Must have experience in designing and maintaining software products and implementing software designs.
Must have experience in software development, data structures, object-oriented design, and effective unit testing.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Other Qualifications:
Should have experience making contributions in a collaborative CI/CD environment such as Gitlab, Bitbucket, Github, and/or Azure DevOps.
Should expect to develop and debug multithreaded applications.
Experience with performance and memory profiling and improving efficiency is a plus.
Experience with C++/C# interoperability is a plus.
Experience configuring, maintaining, and building software in multiple environments using CMake is a plus.
Experience with GPU compute languages such as OpenCL/Vulkan is a plus.
Experience with RADAR, especially Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) is a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
