Mobile App Management & Strategy Intern - Summer 2025

This internship provides hands-on experience in mobile app management and strategy, focusing on research, analysis, and feature development. The intern will evaluate competitor apps, user feedback, and onboarding experiences to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Their insights will help shape product decisions and future app enhancements. The intern will also attend stakeholder meetings to gain exposure to discussions on app performance, feature development, and roadmap planning, while learning how teams collaborate across product, engineering, design, and marketing.
The final deliverable will be a Feature & Optimization Proposal outlining 10 research-backed recommendations to enhance PlanetArt’s mobile apps. These recommendations may include new features, UX improvements, or performance optimizations across one or multiple apps. Each suggestion will be supported by competitive analysis, user feedback, and onboarding insights, with a focus on improving user experience and engagement. Where applicable, the intern may include wireframes or conceptual mockups to help illustrate their ideas.
PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Key job responsibilities
- Review app reviews and customer support feedback to identify common pain points and feature requests.
- Audit the user onboarding experience, identifying areas for improvement.
- Attend stakeholder meetings to observe discussions on app performance, new feature development, and long-term roadmap planning, documenting key insights and action items.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand how research informs feature requirements and app development priorities.
- Take notes and track follow-ups from mobile app project discussions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university with an expected graduation conferral date October 2025– December 2028.
- Able to work up to 40 hours a week throughout the course of a 10 to 12-week summer internship between May through September 2025.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Desire to learn processes and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic understanding of iOS and Android platforms, including key differences in user experience, design patterns, and app ecosystems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with research tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits
Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $19.00 an hour.

- This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week
- (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
