MLR-IS Manager / Associate Manager

At Precision AQ - Medical Communications, the MLR (Medical Legal Regulatory)/IS (Information Services) Specialist plays an important role in partnering with teams across the company to ensure successful submission and approval of deliverables through the client’s MLR platform. The MLR-IS Manager / Associate Manager also works closely with other team members to standardize reference management, obtain publisher permissions, and uphold copyright compliance.
The MLR-IS Manager / Associate Manager demonstrates a solid knowledge of MLR technical requirements, database management, and content guidelines. They partner with teams to ensure compliance in referencing, submissions, and copyright policy.
Maintaining a collaborative and supportive relationship with the MLR Manager, Senior Information Specialist, Program Management and Content Departments is also an important role for the MLR/IS Manager / Associate Manager.
Summary of Responsibilities
- MLR Platform Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of all MLR platforms utilized by Precision AQ clients. Develop a repertoire of MLR platform and client specific review nuances that are acquired working within the client platforms. Guide teams in how to best maintain a repository of all MLR User Guides and best-practice documents.
- MLR Submissions: Partner with teams and collaborate with MLR Manager/Senior Information Specialist to complete reference checks, uploads, and tagging/linking. As needed, work with the MLR-IS Specialist to traffic and triage submissions on an ongoing basis. Monitor materials to ensure that best-practices and submission requirements are followed across teams. Complete quality control (QC) reviews of prepared submissions to ensure accuracy under the guidance of the MLR Manager.
- Asset Management: Partner with teams to manage their ongoing asset management of previously approved pieces. Develop client facing trackers to organize assets by expiration date. Assist PM team members to liaise with clients as needed to communicate assets close to expiration and work with clients to determine a plan for renewal or expiration. Partnering with teams and clients, manage the renewal process for assets identified as still needed.
- Maintain Permissions and Copyright Compliance: Collaborate with the Senior Information Specialist in requesting and tracking permissions and maintaining a copyright-compliance policy that will respect the intellectual property of all the original creators of any source material we use and protect PRECISIONscientia from litigation. Partner with internal team members to ensure copyright compliance is met for submissions.
