Microsoft 365 Engineer (Remote)

Position Accountabilities

  M365 :

  • Design, Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other related applications.
  • Perform migrations, upgrades, integrations and automation.

 Azure :

  • Basic design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Understanding of Entra ID, virtual networks, virtual machines, and other Azure resources.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of Azure resources.

   Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain security best practices across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

  Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 and Azure-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve escalated incidents and service requests.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

  Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest Microsoft 365 and Azure features, updates, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Manager-Technical Support.

Position Qualifications

  Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent certification preferred
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Any additional relevant Microsoft certifications

Skills and Certifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure (tenant configuration, virtual networks, virtual machines, Entra ID, etc.).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with hybrid Office 365 on-premises environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Conditional Access and other Azure services, preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Other

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

 

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
